Too windy to sail?

Dog and Oyster Winetasing

The beginning of Memorial Day weekend brought feisty winds around 25-30 knots. So what do sailors do on land? We visited three Northern Neck Virginia wineries, and took in a show at Donk's Theater where eleven year old Farren had top billing that night. Cute little gal with a feisty voice.

In between a few other yacht club members joined us at Sandpiper Reef in Mathews. Captain Pete tried one of that night's specials-sugar toads. No not frogs, but a seasonal Northern puffer that is fried after the heads are guillotined.
